CrossPublishing prerequisites
* Multiple publications on one application server
* Share the same ArticleType? definitions between those publications if you would like to share articles. (ideally share the entire definitions, or even sym-link one file among all publications)
* Share the same Layout definitions between those publications if you would like to share layouts.
Sharing users between publications
* If we have two publications A and B, and we would like to share articles from publication A to publication B, we need to export users from B to A.
* On the Web Studio interface of publication B, go to the Publication Administration page, and press the 'Export users' tab on the right. Here you will find a list of the other publications on this Escenic instance.
* Select publication A, and hit the 'Export' button.
* Now, the users of publication B will be visible in the Web Studio of publication A.
Giving rights to shared users
* In the Web Studio of publication A, you can now give rights to users, for example reading rights for particular sections in publication A.
* Ignore the roles for the 'All' sections when assigning rights to users.
* When a shared user now logs into Studio for publication B, it will see the sections in publication A.
* Note: don't forget to uncheck a section's inherit access control if you'd like to assign specific section rights, because per default sections inherit all access rights from the frontpage.
